  • How do you know so much about fonts?

Another way to ID a font is to notice that some logos use fonts are used so often (Helvetica, Futura, Gotham, Serpentine, Univers, etc.) or are unique enough that it's easy to identify and then remember.

However, my main tools for font ID'ing are using site-based font identifiers like MyFonts, WhatFontIs and FontEdge along with using a plug-in/bookmark (WhatFont) that goes through a website to ID any font you hover with that isn't an image. It also helps to type up/maintain a list of what you find so that you can pull it up later when needed.

Anyways, I hope that this helps explains some things for you. :)
Quick question for you, John. Where did you get that Taz image from? That looks like the one from the real-world scheme that I could never find on Google Images for the rear end of my #3 GM Goodwrench Taz No Bull Chevy SS scheme. Do you have a link to help me out?

Thanks for the files. That was the one Taz decal I could not find, and now I can complete the scheme. While we are on the topic, do you also have the one from the hood? I stitched two images together to get the one I have on the scheme I made (seen in 3DS Max request thread), but it isn't the same as the one that was actually on the car in real-life.

    Thanks in advance!

Here's the one that Steve Rada used. (It's from the old Mayo Racing Designs website, so be sure to credit them for that.) I might redraw it right now, so if you feel like holding off until then, then I'll send you that one instead for the sake of consistency. http://sta.sh/0yl872sy0eo

I'll hold off until you do one. I'd rather credit you for all three images. Thanks for the help, and just let me know when it is done! I am swapping out the ones I had right now with the two images you gave me at the moment.
