    Hendrick's, yes; Little Caesars, no.

A prime opportunity would've been to match their "Love Kitchen" trailer, which would've translated quite well to a car livery:

I hate to pile on, but yeah... you have Mountain Dew and Little Caesars, two of the silliest, most "fun" brands out there and you come up with this white/orange pile of crud. You have to be kidding, they had a chance to make one of the BEST paint schemes of 2017 and instead, they have one of the worst. I hope no one here contributed to this design, but wow.

If they would just fix the number, 90% of these schemes would look so much better. It's such a simple fix. I don't get it.

There's no way the dude who designed that actually thought it was a good scheme.

In my experience, when given a series of options, a client can often pick the weakest one. Just another reason not to cop-out with scheme proposals.

Maybe it has something to do with the cost of the sponsorship. When the sponsor takes full creative control, we can see some truly great work (see Kahne's Aquafina ride). When it goes through Hendrick's pipeline...well...this is what you get.

Look back a few pages. The unconfirmed thought is that its got something to do with aero. Some of the RCR cars are starting to sport that "swoosh" there as well. If you look at all the hendrick cars they all have some sort of random deal on the a pillar. Some look more like orange swoosh above, others look more like the 48/5 this weekend as blocks. 88 axalta car does the best to play it off where it carries all the way to the roof with a black line, but they all have it in some fashion. Look back through the schemes and you'll see the swoosh on every single one this year.

I understand, but it's Bristol. Aero doesn't matter basically at all. I doubt it's got any single damn thing to do with aero.

Aero matters at every single track. Maybe less at Bristol, but it still matters. These teams are looking for every single advantage they can get.

I'm not saying it doesn't matter at all, yes it matters, but at Bristol of all tracks I feel like one tiny wrap on the A pillar isn't going to win you or cost you the damn race.

No it's not... but 30 or 40 little things like that added up equal a faster car.

Even if it worth .001 of a second at bristol, its worth it. Everybody is on such equal terms any advantage has to be exploited anywhere and everywhere. Small details will add up in a hurry and make a difference very quickly.

Does aero matter less here than a 1.5mile track, of course. But aero matters with your road going car at 30mph, just imagine how much it matters at 150mph. Even at martinsville the cars that win almost always have a very clean nose, fenders may not be perfect but they arent ripped off the car either.

Don't kid yourself. Minor aero variations at short tracks make a negligible difference. People usually win Martinsville with a clean car because they simply had a better setup, stayed close to the front, and just didn't have to race as aggressively in general. You really can't attribute that to aero superiority at all.

Race teams will do anything to gain an advantage anywhere they can without getting caught for cheating.
