They're really putting in effort with these paint schemes aren't they?
If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
The problem is, it's broken. If you want to keep the swooshes that's fine, but the stars and strips pattern never has fit and makes what could be a good scheme look bad.
But it's supposed to emphasize that Smithfield is "Made in the USA".
There are better ways to do that, they way they do it now is just bad and disjointed.
Oh my god, that thing is absolutely stunning to look at.
Is it safe to say there's an official series logo that just hasn't been revealed yet? Almirola is conveniently blocking the contingencies, and it looks like his firesuit was photoshopped where the series logo would go. Don't see any wrinkles or shading like there should be.
I see texture on the driver suit, I think it's simply logoless
More than likely the shot was taken this way so that when the logo is unveiled they don't have to go back and take another picture.
That is awesome looking, love the lightning!
You're thinking too hard into it. The logo wont come out until end of next week and the Sprint Cup logo was photoshopped out and there's simple no Series logo behind the driver.
Not sure if it's the contrast in the photo or not, but the colors look a lot sharper than years past. Nice, subtle improvement...now they just need to rethink those swooshes lol.
I like that Air Force paint scheme. Especially with the lightning bolts.
Like that one a lot, hope Aric and RPM as a whole have a better year than 2016.
I agree with you burtonbraves. That is one of the better looking STP schemes they have had in the past few years. I'm glad they are still going to be using it. Hopefully 2017 is a lot better for RPM.
Finally, they used the swoosh as part of the actual paint scheme!
