That Camaro's look fucking badass. I love it. Can't wait to see it on the track for 2018.

Now that Chevy have chosen to use the Camaro for Cup, can we get Mustangs from Ford, GT-86 from Toyota, and (should any of these manufacturers rejoined/joined) a Hellcat from Dodge and a GT-R from Nissan as well? :p

I gotta say, the diecasts of the Chevrolets will finally look really good. The SS was kind of a boring body, at least compared to the creases of the Camry and the original Fusion.

For those interested, Richard Childress raced a Camaro at Talladega in '69... I don't know much about NASCAR circa '98, but I was curious if the Camaro ever was in the cup series. I have no idea if this is a cup car or not.

Someone on Reddit took Jimmie Johnson's current scheme and put it on the new Camaro. I'd say it looks pretty good.

At that time NASCAR ran a series named "Grand American " which featured Camaro, Mustang, Cougar. They basically ran on their own but on occasion they were invited to race Cup when NASCAR knew it would have a short field. The most famous was the driver boycott at Talladega where there were only a handful of Cup cars. Grand American's filled out the rest of the field

Well that is certainly more badass then I expected!

Pretty sure he meant that it being in the way of sponsor placement. No more bigass M on the 1 car if they don't make it "paintable".

I'm sure they'll make that paintable. Couldn't imagine they wouldn't.

Gene Haas on the 2018 sponsorship for SHR drivers. Sounds like everyone there this year is going to stay, at least he hopes.

I might be reading into it but seems like Haas CNC may sponsor Danica while forcing Kurt into having to get a sponsor?

Everyone will run him if he has a sponsor at this point.

It's just hard to believe that no one can find a sponsor for Bubba

If I were Gene Haas and I was sponsoring a car out of my own pocket I would take Wallace every day of the week over Patrick

It's not that they can't find sponsors for him, it's that no one will commit to sponsoring him long term. He didn't win a truck championship and he's never won an Xfinity race, the Michigan win will help him, but his resume isn't as impressive or as current as other younger drivers

Doesn't help with how he presents himself. Never tucks in his shirt, hair is sort of scrappy, etc. Sponsors don't like that.
