A smile never left the face of new team owner Matt Wichelman as he spoke in the media center following MWM’s first appearance on track.

“To be have started from scratch only a couple months ago and be running 3rd and 6th in preseason testing, that’s exciting. It really shows all the hours of hardwork that so many people put in over the offseason and it really excites me for our future as a team.”

@BrendonH12: "Man, we've got a fast Toyota Tundra! Hopefully we can carry this speed into the real season when it really matters."

No qualifying practice? Lol.

I guess those changes we made during the off season really paid off. We weren't very good here last year. To come back and run 5th and 2nd in those testing sessions. I would say that is accomplishment. Can't wait to come back for the race.

Average finishes on testing for Robert Kurz from VLR. But we aren't worried because on long runs we look very well. Testing is testing, race is what matters.

17 to 26 is not what we were hoping for. The guys in the back are going to go over our data and see what we can do to make adjustments.

9: "We seemed to get better when it got warmer, or at least didn't fall off as much as some others. With plate racing it's all about finding friends, I'm hoping we can get with some of the other Toyotas and go to the front."
