    Thanks!

The next team is... pretty poor. FRE, Inc. has funding from Bojangles' but it's not a lot, they only wrap the whole car out of graciousness. Other sponsors are small associate deals, B2B's, and a small sponsorship brought by a part time driver. Corey Frederick isn't exactly a great owner either. He shows up, takes the paycheck, and goes home. Hopefully the drivers on his team can find a way out, but for now they'll have to bust their asses in these rides if they want to find it.

Tracy Welbourn is the only female racer in the Premier Series, and sadly, that's about all she has to her. She's raced asphalt midgets across Missouri but she has never really raised any eyebrows. Hopefully, she can turn things around as she steps onto the SESCA scene this year.

John Rott is another weekly racer at Bowman Gray who kicks bubblegum and chews ass every time he gets steps on track. He's a damn good racer, but he doesn't have any sponsorship to help him along after Charlie's Soap left him to sponsor... well, you'll find out a lot later. John has found an unfortunate home at FRE, Inc. running part time as he competes in the SESCA Truck Series for his own team, but he is really just happy to be in a car at this point.

The only foreign driver in the field, Francois La Pen is a failed MotoGP racer who has turned his eyes to stock cars. He brings the Total sponsorship vaguely mentioned earlier. La Pen has no oval experience other than the late model races that Corey Frederick surprisingly paid for him to run in to gain a little bit of experience. He’s got car control and wants to do good, but most just aren’t sold on Francois. He will split the 92 while also competing in the SESCA Truck Series for FRE.

Two teams and four drivers to go!

DX Motorsports is based out of Tobaccoville, North Carolina with a limited budget and a spirit like today’s North Carolina tobacco farmers. That’s to say, not a lot of spirit, if you aren’t familiar with today’s tobacco industry.

Jeffery Reeves is the only African-American driver competing in this season’s SESCA Premier Series. Coming to us from Mississippi, he competed alongside Luke Myers some nights on the dirt tracks. Other weekends, he was working as a delivery driver for UPS to find his racing ventures and support his wife and kids. He’s got a heart and sole, and hard working demeanor to do well this season, and nearly everyone hopes he can use that to earn himself a better ride next year.

Trey Red is another driver who also competes in the SESCA Truck Series, splitting a ride in that series with another driver we’ll be introduced to in due time. Red served as a relief driver to Greg Pallard last season when he fell ill at Ace Speedway, and pulled off an impressive result, finishing 9th. He runs late models back home in West Virginia, and also runs yearly in the ValleyStar Credit Union 300 at Martinsville with a best finish of 8th there. Red is a good racer, not great, but his passion for racing seems to be faltering. Will he come back next year? Will he be able to perform as he approaches his 40s? Will he want to perform? Those answers will obviously have to come with time.

Berthold Motorsports is set to be the powerhouse team of the SESCA Truck Series, with factory support from Toyota and a truckload of sponsorship. So why not jump on up to the SESCA Segpay Series, stretching your resources thin before the trucks even hit the track for the first time? At least that’s what most people think about this Nashville, Tennessee based team. Tony Berthold and his wife Haley, however, have incredible confidence.

Ashton Sanders hails from Orangeburg, South Carolina. His father drove the merchandise hauler for a NASCAR Busch Series team back in the early-mid 2000’s. He begged for his dad to take him with him every week, but his father wouldn’t let him when school was in session. The summertime though, was always Ashton’s favorite part of the year. He loved racing and the environment around it. He started racing bandeleros at age 8, and modifieds at 16. Now at 20, he will enter SESCA competition in the #37 primary car for Berthold Motorsports.

Randy Holston is a former amateur drag racer turned stock car racer over this off season. Even though he grew up just outside of Texarkana on the Arkansas side, and has only been to Tennessee three times in his life, First Tennessee Bank has been a sponsor of his for four years now. Now, they’ll follow him as an associate and a primary on one of Berthold’s trucks, in his venture over to stock cars.

That’s all folks! Next is to paint pit boxes, import the last few teams into the game, and get them rated accordingly. Look out for this set in the coming days.
