    Rant:
Hamlin raced to pit road when he went into the grass, there was no debry, there was no reason to throw a caution. I hate how NASCAR games these races. I hate the fake cautions. That fake caution ended up creating (as of right now) 5 more cautions that never would of happened. The fake cautions are 1 of the 2 reasons I stopped watching NASCAR. I only turned it on because of the Indycar race. Lewis Hamilton should talk more about the fake safety cars NASCAR loves to throw, maybe that will get them to change. NASCAR's #1 priority should be to cater to Hamilton so he joins NASCAR once his F1 career is over
    Rant over.

This is the fourth straight race in which the winner did not lead the most laps, the longest streak of the season.

This is the first season in top-level history where three drivers have won three races in a row. Two drivers have won three races three times (2015, 1993, and 1976). Dale Earnhardt had two runs of three or more race victories in 1987.

Brad Keselowski hasn't led the most laps and won the race since his 20th win at Daytona in 2016. Keselowski has only led the most laps in 6 of his 27 victories. In comparison, Kyle Busch has led the most laps in 6 of his last 10 victories.

Three quarters of the way through the season, all of Martin Truex Jr.'s top tens are also top fives. He is the only person with more than two top tens to have the same amount of top fives and top tens. Kurt Busch ranks 12th in top fives but 4th in top tens.

The last time a track was given a second date, the first new race also went 272 laps. The only person with a top ten in both of those race is Keselowski - 5 of the top ten from that race did not attempt full-time racing this season.

The 2011 Hollywood Casino 400 at Kansas. Jimmie Johnson won that race.

I don't see anything weird in throwing a caution when a driver spins out and goes through the grass....It happened with Kyle Busch today and it happened with Cory Roper and Stewart Friesen in the truck race. So in my opinion, that's usually a caution (in fact, it would've been strange if they hadn't thrown it).
I support your ranting about fake cautions when they threw them because of "debris", but what happened today with Hamlin almost always ends up with a yellow flag.

First off that's not what I was questioning, I was questioning your very laughable and outlandish statement that NASCAR should make catering to a driver of a completely unrelated series their tip-top priority.

Secondly they usually throw cautions for accidents like that, I don't understand why you're so up-in-arms about it.....

The rules on when a caution should be thrown are almost always when a car spins on the track. They have to because what if a chunk of grass flies onto the track? What if there's fluid on the pit road that needs to be cleaned up? What if the spinning car comes back onto the track? They threw it almost the second he completely lost control because that car is a potential hazard to the rest of the cars going by at nearly 180 mph. It makes perfect sense to throw a caution there.

It wasn't a big deal to me. I was annoyed, I ranted with a post, and got over it.

"Secondly they usually throw cautions for accidents like that"
And your point? Because they usually throw cautions for accidents like that then it is fine? What logic is that?

I should of worded myself better with the Hamilton note. #1 priority was not the correct wording.

There was no grass or debry on the track. I can't see any at least.

"They have to because what if a chunk of grass flies onto the track?"
But there wasn't any grass on the track. Someone spots the grass they throw a caution. Fine, I understand that. I can't see any grass or debry on the track.
"What if the spinning car comes back onto the track? "
Common sense says it won't happen. He spins into the middle of the field of grass and then limps the car to pit road.
"What if there's fluid on the pit road that needs to be cleaned up? "
Again, to me it is obvious that no fluid went on to pit road.

I would prefer to see some discretion before automatically throwing the caution.

Maybe I'm wrong, I've only watched NASCAR, IndyCar, and F1 before but I don't think in other racing series you would see an automatic caution like NASCAR does.
