Not a Miller (or beer in general) fan at all, but if this is true that Miller's gone, it's just a shame... It just won't be right not seeing the Miller logos on the #2.

The general Miller sponsorship of the 2 might be the longest standing sponsorship at the moment. Miller joined Rusty Wallace with his iconic Miller Genuine Draft partnership in 1990 when he was still with Blue Max Racing. In 1991 he took the sponsorship with him to Penske Racing, and Miller has been there in some form ever since, so 28 years. that's longer than GM Goodwrench was with RCR and longer than Motorcraft has been with the Wood Brothers. The only one that may be longer is STP with Petty Enterprises, as that relationship ended (mostly) in 2000.

If we're talking as a primary sponsor during the season, then maybe, but just as a sponsor overall? Motorcraft and STP easily beat Miller by roughly a couple decades each at least. The Goodwrench/RCR partnership lasted ~25 years (early 1980s-2007) with years prior to 1988 as well as the final year it was on the car in 2007 as the years of it being an associate sponsor.

That's true, IIRC Goodwrench came on as a sponsor for Dale Earnhardt, as it was on the C post on the RCR cars in mid 80s and as his primary sponsor for DEI in the Busch series. Motorcraft as I remember didn't join the Wood Brothers until I think 2000, with primary sponsorship in 2001. Before that they had been sponsored by CITGO at least as far back as the late 80s. If we are talking multiple teams then Miller also goes back at least into the Early 80s, with the red and white miller car (the team escapes me) and then Miller High Life with the Stavola Brothers.

AutoTrader scheme - forgot to mention the lack of a Mechanix Wear contig as well.

Miller's first appearance was with Jim Hurtubise in the 1972 Daytona 500. After that was with DiGard and Bobby Allison starting in 1982.
