Still crazy to think racing for real will be back soon. I still have my doubts they will make it through the planned schedule with the virus going around though, things could backfire pretty easily even with the precautions they are trying to have in place.

Actually, you might start to see everything continue to open up across the country. I don't necessarily disagree with you, but it is proving to be less deadly here in the states than many other parts of the world (still deadly enough though!). With the exception of New York and a handful of other places, most of the country's medical care systems are well prepared and underwhelmed for the spread of the virus, which is the whole point of "flattening the curve." Like you say, this could backfire, but indications are that relaxing (rather than stopping) restrictions might be the way to go.

It amazes me how often we have to still have this discussion, and the comparison in the comments between NASCAR and F1 is astounding.
