I can not seem to get my paint shop to open or save .dds files. Can anyone convert them over for me? I'm wanting to add my own paint scheme for the dirt works modified mod. Thanks in advance

Google Nvidea .dds Plug-in, that's what you need

Try Gimp it's free and does the DDS and conversions. Google it. It works great. I used it for rFactor track work.

Got it. Now I have a problem with the ASCS sprint car mod. I can get my car paint to show up, but not the wing I painted. I have it saved the way I did the car and only get a blank wing. Car is ASCS_19.dds and wing is saved as ASCS19_19wing.dds. anyone know why its not showing up???

    too many "19s" I think, try "ASCS_19wing.dds"

It happens all the time, just a slight difference and it's not showing, same problems with your "veh" files, they have to be dead on or things go haywire

That is correct, any rFactor mod, dds files need to follow the same text format (paint, engine, wing etc.) rfactor is very clinical about file names for dds and veh. If you are skinning an existing car, you need to overwrite the dds files in
the vehicle folder, following the existing format. If you are making a new car from scratch, there is more to do.
