Bell wants a cup ride and they have none open for him.... Thats big for him. Heck JGR/Toyota lost Byron so cant say it wont happen...
That's why, with LFR switching to Toyota, Kahne gets the boot. Bell goes into the 95 and all is well.

Advocare has also been on JRM cars before.

Bayne to JRM is a good fit to me. In a sense it kind of reunites Bayne with the Earnhardt family since Bayne started out as a DEI development driver in the Camping World Series before the merger with Chip Ganassi.

It would give Bayne a chance to perform in top-tier equipment, and he's already got sponsorship backing him up with Advocare. If all goes well, I think Bayne is still young enough to make another run at the Cup Series. You can't really be a Cup Series washout if you haven't been given a good enough opportunity to perform in Cup. Wood Brothers Racing was still on the way back up when Bayne was there, and we've all seen what Roush Fenway Racing has been like since Bayne started full-time there in 2015.
I forgot about that.... I think Sadler will remain at JRM some how which the only “top tier” ride would be RCR... but that’s Silly season for ya

If it's actually "earth-shattering", I'm guessing it's Truex changing teams/FRR shutting down (apparently there are rumors that's a remote possibility???), or one of Harvick or Johnson announcing retirements.
FERNANDO ALONSO TO NASCAR!

.... kidding.... On a more serious level, It's probably gonna be something out of left field, but it's all gonna leave us saying "there was supposed to be an earth-shattering kaboom!"

Harvick said he’d quit and expect other to follow as well if NASCAR uses the restrictor plate package, and he just said the other day he’s given up on talking to NASCAR about it, so maybe that’s it. I highly, highly doubt it, but still.

I have a buddy who won something with the SHR Fan Club that sent him to the Mustang reveal where he had one on one time with Harvick and Tony Stewart. He asked Kevin if he had considered retiring any time soon and like Jimmie he said he'd call it quits when it stopped being fun for him. Given his success this year I'd say Harvick won't be out any time soon.

As for the FRR rumor, Barney Visser said last week that the rumor was false.

No idea where that rumor about FRR closing came from... but why would one of the most successful teams today (that just won the championship last year, no less) suddenly shut its doors? I definitely won't believe that until I see it.

While it would be shocking, it wouldn’t be unprecedented. Blue Max Racing won the title with Rusty in 89, and closed after 90 when he went to Penske.
