Work Item: NR-5
Status: Completed
For: @thedude1987
Resolution time:
1+ week
Time spent on work item: 1.5 hours
Resource Link: http://www.mediafire.com/file/layeos0gku2lajg/Metallic_layers_set.zip/file
Contents included:
- PSD file for photoshop

There are 2 different metallic layers to choose for each body and 2 flake layers to use if you want
Metallic layers:
dull - dimmer version of metallic shine
bright - brighter version with the specular parts of the metallic layer appaering

Flake layers: (optional)
Metallic Flakes Large - Larger flake detail
Metallic Flakes Small - Smaller flake detail

NOTE: Metallic layers overlay blend opacity can be adjusted to make the metallic layer more prominent or less of an effect. It is recommended to only have one layer on but you can turn more than one on at a time if you want a different effect. Also due to the roughness of this model's UV's where texel density was not uniform between the pieces the blending on edges for the metallic layer were done best as possible, it may look better on the cars with a template compared to the blank version shown below.

Quick preview (bright (on left) dull (on right) metallic layer on chevy body):

NOTICE: The project files and link for work item 'NR-5' will only remain until 4/25/2020. The backup project folder which is 140mb of data that was made to create this base layer will be removed as well.

Work Item: NR-6
Status: Completed
For: @Skyline
Resolution time:
1+ week
Time spent on work item: 2 hours
Resource Link: https://www.mediafire.com/file/fvgpwv0hxmy8h84/Carbon_Layers.zip/file
Contents included:
- PSD file for photoshop

There are 2 different carbon layers to choose for each body
Carbon layers:
small - small texture version of carbon pattern
large -slightly large texture version of carbon pattern

I would have had this one done sooner but trying to get the models imported took longer than I expected. They needed a lot of cleanup since all the parts were connected together at first. The actual 3d coat side of things was relatively easy though.

Quick preview small carbon fiber (on left) large carbon fiber (on right) on chevy body):
