"Race trim sucks. Luckily we qualified darn near perfect. If we can stay near the front we're golden. Just like these warm, glazed Krispy Kreme doughnuts. No, I'm not contractually obligated to say that, stop giving me looks."

Pace car pulls to pit road and we're ready for racing around this treacherous Talladega Superspeedway. 8 Chasers look to survive 57 laps around this treacherous race track and get a head start into Watkins Glen at making the Championship 4 at Homestead.

Ryan Wayne and Noah Joyce will bring the field down to the green. We'll be three, four, and maybe even five wide in just a few minutes.

GREEN FLAG: Outside lane gets the tighter draft organized as the field heads for turn 1 and continue to build up to full speed.

Lap 1: Joshua Michaels gives a huge push to Noah Joyce down the backstraight. He'll clear Ryan Wayne off into turn 3 and will lead lap 1 while the field scatters out behind him.

Lap 2: David Calhoun pulls out of line from 3rd and picks up a push from Josh Hawkins to move up to 2nd by Adam Douglas. Hawkins and Calhoun remain in line behind Joyce as the field heads back to turn 1 once again.

Nearly had trouble at the rear of the field off turn 4. Tim Kunkel had Ryan Cole come across his front bumper, and it sent both cars down onto the apron for a brief moment. Everyone continues on.

Lap 3: Chaser Connor Mire looks to have chosen to run up front this evening instead of ride in the back and avoid wrecks. Mire has to make up a 15 point penalty he received after the race at Bristol last weekend, and he also did not receive bonus points for winning a Round of 12 race that would have placed him first in seeding for the Round of 8. Instead he's 8th and 15 points behind everyone else.

Lap 4: David Calhoun has not left Noah Joyce's back bumper since taking 2nd from Adam Douglas a couple laps ago. Joyce has led every lap so far and has not received a challenge from anyone behind him.

Lap 5: The pack ganged up on David Calhoun and suddenly Noah Joyce's partner is gone. Fortunately for him, team owner Ryan Cole fills the spot that was forcibly removed from David Calhoun down the backstraight by Bob Laryson and Cole DesRosiers.

Lap 6: Ryan Cole now fills David Calhoun's role as he is now glued to the back bumper of teammate Noah Joyce. They're probably in the two safest spots on the track right now. Four wide multiple rows deep behind them.

Lap 7: CAUTION #1: TROUBLE OFF OF TURN 4! One car goes sliding just below the yellow line and somehow no one else is collected!

Noah Joyce is your leader at the caution. He has led all 7 laps so far.
