Lap 34: RESTART: Asher once again yields to the leaders and waits for a spot in line as Kyle Corbett and possibly 2nd place Bob Laryson will get by.

Lap 35: Asher pulls the inside line up alongside Bob Laryson for 2nd. Asher needs to try to get in front of Corbett and hope for a quick caution to get back on the lead lap. Looks like he'll try to make that move headed back off into turn 1.

Lap 36: LEAD CHANGE: Asher was able to break out ahead of everyone else, but his time at the front was short-lived as Adam Douglas took over the lead and quickly put Asher back 1 lap down.

Lap 37: CAUTION #4: Two cars spinning down the backstraight, and a third as well as maybe a fourth car gets collected late.

LEAD CHANGE: Dakota Caudill brings the field back to the caution.

Lap 38: Scott Lounsberry, Chris Everett, Tim Johnston, Greg Woodard, Joseph Onesto, Travis Baker, Trey Coleman, Jacob Craigo, Alikz Ahlbrand, Mike Ehresman, and Ben Althen are all on pit road. Everyone but Althen received damage in a major stackup on the backstraight after taking the caution. Several of these drivers are taking their cars behind the wall.

Just one look at the picture can tell you how this one starts.

    talladega_caution_4_1.jpg

In yet another case of a car being sandwiched, Nick Flaitz gets sandwiched between Ben Althen and Ryan Cole. Althen's car comes down and also collects Joe Towianski.

    talladega_caution_4_2.jpg

Althen and Towianski go for a slide down the Alabama Gang Superstretch.

    talladega_caution_4_3.jpg

Alex Seufert couldn't get his car turned to the bottom before he made his way up on the accident scene, but an alternate escape route opened up between Towianski and Althen's cars.

    talladega_caution_4_4.jpg

But just as quickly as that hole opened up, it closed. Seufert was left with nowhere to go.

    talladega_caution_4_5.jpg

Everyone else got away with no damage with the exception of Mike Ehresman.

Lounsberry, Johnston, Everett, Onesto, Baker, Coleman, Ahlbrand, Ehresman, and Seufert have all taken their cars behind the wall. Woodard, Craigo, and Althen have returned to the track. We expect Joe Towianski to take his car behind the wall as well.

#1 crew chief "I will bring it to you"

*Crew chief of #1 team jumps off pit box goes to local convenience store grabs a coke and in an unexpected turn of events brings it to a fuming Jacob Craigo in the garage as "can you feel it now" plays in the background. Ryan Newman stands in the background smiling and is also drinking a coke.

Lap 45: Connor Root and Connor Mire look to be the only two Chase contenders still in the lead pack. Several other Chasers have run into issues throughout the day.

Brendan Peavy and Jackson Braun are hanging out in a smaller pack behind the lead pack. It looks like those 2 are just looking for a solid finish so they can get to Watkins Glen with a solid shot at making it to the Championship 4.

Spencer Hunter, Alex Seufert, Joe Towianski, and Greg Woodard have all run into issues that have taken them out of contention. Hunter, Seufert, and Towianski are all in the garage while Woodard looks to just bring his car home still on the racetrack. Woodard currently runs back in 22nd.
