Missimer doesn't have any room for error this weekend with his championship rivals right on his heels. Missimer will have to finish in front of Darren Ingram to have a shot at the title. Darren Ingram has had a stellar rookie season. Ingram comes in tied with Missimer for the points lead and is trying to go 1 for 1 in Cup series competition. While he needs to worry about beating the 68 team, he can't allow any of our other contenders to get too far ahead or they will vault over him and take the title. Dan Busch with a consistent season through 15 races. He is 1 of the 2 drivers in the top 10 in points to not have a DNF this season. Just 4 points out, Busch is right there with the top 2 and can easily come away with a championship on Sunday. Shane Lennox is on a late season charge after a last lap pass victory at Richmond a few weeks back. The 18 team the only other team to not have a DNF in the first 15 races that still has a shot at the championship. 14 points seems like a lot but if Lennox can get a top 5 he may just steal this title from our top 3 in points. Chris Everett picked up his first career win a few weeks ago at Outward and now he is within striking distance for the title. Everett has finished in the top 10 in 33% of the races so far but he will likely need to do better than that if he wants to hoist the trophy at the conclusion of the race. The winningest driver in Cup series history will have a shot at claiming his first title this weekend. Zumwalt will likely need to add 1 more win to the record books if he is to leave Homstead-Miami a champion. With 3 DNFs so far this season he is tied for the most in our top 10 in points so it may be checkers or wreckers for this team. The points leader from earlier this season has stumbled back lately but he is still within reach. Hooper is 24 points behind but this team knows how to rack up points and they could easily out smart the rest of the competition. The 11 team have nothing to lose and everything to gain this weekend so we'll see how they work things during the race. James Gegner with a very strong season but he is 24 points back due to 3 DNFs. If Gegner can avoid wrecking out, he will likely be in the hunt near the top 10. Coming off a 3rd place finish last week, they have plenty of momentum going into the weekend and can surprise everyone with a championship run after 134 laps on Sunday. Zack Webster is 27 points out but anything can happen during a race. This team will have to put it all on the line to be champions but they have proved they can win already this season after capturing the victory at Kansas. Look for the 95 team to be fast this weekend. Keith Batson has been in the mix most of the season but hasn't really caught the attention like others in the points battle. That will have to change on Sunday and Batson will also need the rest of the top 10 to have bad luck. Stranger things have happened before so it's not impossible to see this 39 team celebrating a championship Sunday night.
