My Suzuka set grows yet again..... I'm thinking maybe I can make this the only race for my 1997 set that will have the full roster!

THIS was so random I just had to share it - I'm in a few NASCAR model car groups on Facebook and they can be a huge help with reference photos sometimes. I was asking about any images of the #45 Xtreme-J Chevy from Winston West in 1997 - which served as the basis for one of the Suzuka paint schemes. And well...... I ended up with some pretty extraordinary help from Gary Smith - the man who actually DROVE the #45 in Winston West in 1997!

Gary came back and loaded me up with like 8 more pictures of that car and a video of Ken Schrader catching the #45 on fire at Pikes Peak Raceway, lol.

Not sure I really have a reason to be as excited as I am about how this one turned out - but I am! Rare/ One event Car? CHECK. Hardly any photo documentation OR race coverage of it? CHECK. Graphics that don't exist anywhere else and need to be recreated from scratch? CHECK CHECK!
