Curtis J™ - "We didnt get much draft practice in this session so that explains our low spot. We wanted to make sure we were quick by ourselves and we barely were. Drafting is going to be KEY in the race. We are not to worried yet, we still have some good changes up our sleeve."

8th is ok, I guess. I was feeling the back end sliding out from under me, especially off of two. And we need to come off four a bit better. A fair day, but we'll do better for the race.

Zoom - "We weren't really focusing too much on out right speed but were trying to keep the car stable at the beginning and end of race runs. It feels good right now so hopefully it will pay off during the race."

Bobby Farrell - "I was actually pretty pleased with how our first practice session went. We got up to 23rd on the charts and not really that far off from the leaders. We made a change for the second practice session and the car went the wrong way. We lost a little bit of speed and dropped to 29th on the chart. Hopefully we can find something for qualifying and pull off a decent starting spot for the race."

@VictoryLaneEnterprises-What a 2nd practice! 47 team takes P4, 97 team takes p7, and 98 team takes P11. Hopefully that speed translates to qualifying! #srdindycar

Some unexpected things came up, not gonna be able to run a 3rd practice session today, so lets just call it a "rain out". Qualifying will be held later today/tonight when I get home.

--------------------

Daniel Asher: "The car couldn't hang onto the draft in the first practice, we just didn't have the speed, but we managed to fix the issue and run a few good laps in session two. The rain at the track isn't being too kind to us right now, so a third session won't happen...so we'll prepare for qualifying and hope we get a good spot on the grid."

Bobby Farrell - "I guess Mother Nature is not an Indycar fan. Today's practice got cancelled because of the rain. One of the worst feelings is sitting around a race track while it's raining. Hopefully the rain will go away and they can get the track dry in time for qualifying later today."

72CC - "Well we had high hopes for the things we were going to continue to improve upon from the second P session. However we are in a pretty good standing going into Q and we got to get a really lengthy debrief in so I think we will be okay for the race"

Curtis J™ - "I think this session being rained out was no big deal. We made HUGE strides from P1 to P2 and litterally finished that second session P2 on the board *laughter* so we take this rain in stride and will put our Q setup in the car and get going again"

Qualifying for tomorrows Pure Michigan 250 was held tonight, and as expected, most of the oval specialists rose to the occasion and qualified near the top of the field, and even a few road course guys found their way towards the front of the field in qualifying. Look for the fast cars in practice to find their way to the front come race time.

It was a rookie laying down the fastest lap of the session. With a 32.116, Shane Lennox will start P1 on Sunday. John Hooper, Sr. will start outside pole. Curtis James continues his strong start to the season, and will start P3. Rookie Jason Blanford will start P4, and defending race winner Daniel Asher will start P5. Road Course specialists Zack Webster and Kyle Missimer had superb qualifying runs, and will start P8 and P10 respectively.

That was better. We worked hard on this 11 Delo Lotus ever since last practice ended. We wanted to be better. This car ran qualifying really well. I was a smidge off on the front straightaway. Wanted the pole, but 2nd is fine. We'll stay up front and have a good day tomorrow.
