Caution #4: Everyone other than Christopher Witmer, Ryan DeCosta, and race leader Dakota Caudill comes to pit lane.

Lap 43: Green Flag- We're nearing the end of this race now, Dakota Caudill takes the green flag!
    IMG_3720.JPG

Second place Christopher Witmer gets an awful restart, that causes third on back to stack up! Four wide, as three drivers battle for fourth into turn 1!

Lap 50: 10 TO GO- Jerry Towns with a 1.38 second lead at the stripe. Can he hold on for ten more laps to win it in Bahrain?

Lap 52: Coleman is closing in, slowly but surely. It's at 1.214 seconds now. At this rate, he won't have enough time. But, can he put enough pressure on Towns to make the #14 make a mistake.

Lap 59: WHITE FLAG- Just one more lap is all Jerry Towns needs.

The leader is catching TIM Johnston, in Towns' own #41 car. Johnston shouldn't cause any issues for his team owner, but we'll have to see what unfolds.

    Towns Wins In Bahrain
    IMG_3740.PNG
It was 59 laps of unexpected turns in Bahrain, and in the end, Jerry Towns came out as the winner. Towns was able to hold on for the win, after starting the race from the 3rd position. The race featured a handful of engine failures and a large accident, both of which ended the days of the drivers who sit 1-2 in points standings. Tim Kunkel had a valve failure on the very first lap, while Brandon Chrasta was taken out in a large accident, on a restart that followed a yellow flag for Tim Johnston hitting the end of the pit road wall. In the end, it was Trey Coleman trying to catch Jerry Towns, but Coleman used up his tires on the hot, slick surface. Results as well as Road Course and International Championship Standings can be seen below, with Drivers Standings coming soon. Only one race remains before the Christmas/New Years' Break, we'll see you next week in Yas Marina.

JG#29: "Well, this is what we get for our piss-poor qualifying effort: a 29th place finish after starting 32nd, and then getting caught up in someone else's mess, and to add insult to injury, we end up blowing the engine from being damaged in the crash. We have got to get our shit together as far as our qualifying program goes, because there is absolutely NO excuse for qualifying so poorly week in and week out. Congrats to my team owner Jerry Towns for winning this race. See you all next week at Yas Marina."

"Still trying to figure out why we're qualifying so poorly; that in and of itself cost us a shot at the win today. Great to leave here with two cars in the top 10 though."

Well I don't know how we dropped from 7th to 21st so quickly but it was fun running near the front considering our crappy qualifying run.

This team is growing. It's frustrating to do poorly but we'll get there.

    Drivers Points after Bahrain
    IMG_3747.JPG
The incident for Brandon Chrasta and misfortune for Tim Kunkel shook up the points picture this weekend. Brandon Chrasta's lead fell to 3 points. This is now over Jason Blanford, who moves into second as Tim Kunkel falls to sixth in the order. Christopher Witmer rounds out the top three, 16 points back.
