The ratings system that will be used for 2020 is something entirely different. Instead of using a rating set based on track type, we're going to use ratings based on the Top-3 of the 2019 Xfinity Series Standings.

The three base options are as follows:
1. 2019 Tyler Reddick2. 2019 Cole Custer3. 2019 Christopher Bell
1595546344475.png
1595546330343.png
1595546816916.png

For strategy, all drivers will be given an allowance for their personal traits (Aggression, Consistency, Finishing, and Qualifying), track specialties, and vehicle traits (Aerodynamics, Chassis, Engine, and Reliability). Drivers will use their allowance to modify their base ratings as desired. Drivers can also choose not to use their allowance and keep their base ratings.

For the points allowance, drivers will use the 2/4/6/8 allowance from last year. However, this year, drivers must split their choices as additions and subtractions. For example: -2 Aggression, -4 Finishing, +6 Consistency, +8 Consistency; -2 Road Course, -6 Short Track, +8 Speedway, +4 Super Speedway; -4 Aero, -2 Chassis, +6 Engine, +8 Reliability.

The allowance will be applied to both MIN and MAX values (but maxes out at 100 regardless, of course).

These base ratings currently have a higher pit crew rating (80-100). In order to shake up pit road more, these will likely be kicked down to 10-100.

I am still currently figuring out the whole ratings and allowance system. For the allowance, do I have to fill out each or can I add / remove from only 1 section? And does it have to equal out at 0 overall? Example: I add +2 and +4 to an area, do I have to -6 for one area, or -3 for two specific areas? Put TBD for the allowance thing until I completely understand.

Base Ratings Selection: Christopher Bell

EDIT: Will not be using allowance for the ratings system.

Hey man! I figured there'd be a little confusion, so hopefully this explanation helps.

So, your first option is to keep your base ratings and opt out of the allowance.

The other option is to use your allowance as follows:
For all three sections mentioned, you must use 2, 4 , 6, and 8 as your adjusters. Two of those need to be an addition, and two need to be a subtraction. No math needed!

John's ratings are a good example of the format in use.

Also, keep in mind - Ratings can't go higher than 100 of course, so any additions there will be a throwaway (and is perfectly fine be me - it's called strategy for a reason!).

Alvaro, I'll need you to adjust your ratings please. Please review John's for reference.

Thanks for the explanation, Sean! I've edited my original post, and I will not use the allowance system and will just stick with Christopher Bell's original ratings.

Just an FYI to everyone, it's perfectly acceptable to not use the allowance on a single section (as seen above) while using it on the other two. It's all strategy!
