  1. Yes, Looking Forward To The Changes To PIR.

  2. No, Can't We Keep The Track As Is And Just Update The Facility Instead?

Wow, didn't know that. I thought the track was still in existence but not completely dead. Wasn't IndyCar running races there recently too?

ARCAfest and INDYfest both ended either last year, or the previous one.

It's odd to see that the only stands will be in turn 3 and 4. You'd think they would keep some of the old front stretch ones to give more variety of viewing for the spectators. Also lots of empty space in turn 3 and 4, but I imagine it will be used for safety trucks/equipment and other random bs like that

Wow those are some crappy seat locations to see the whole track.

It seems like they are just changing a bunch of crap just to change it instead of just updating the facility, which was far more needed than a total renovation.

Not really. One benefit I see from the reconfiguration is not having the sun in my eyes at the end of a race. It can be brutal. Now, most fans will be entirely shaded.

I feel like the s/f line should be after the dogleg, would probably make for some exciting last lap passes.

I had this same thought. I am not sure why they put right after turn 2.

Remember that after that project is complete:
    - Dogleg/Backstretch will become Turn 1
    - Turns 3-4 will become Turn 2
    - Frontstretch will become backstretch
    - Turn 1 will become Turn 3
    - Turn 2 will become Turn 4
Just like someone said...A high-banked Nazareth Speedway :3

Most likely because the Turn 1/2 side of the track faces the parking lot and the majority of vehicle access to/from the racetrack. There's actually much more space on this side of the track and where the S/F line is moving than on the former frontstretch side. Check out the satellite photos on Google maps and this will make a lot more sense.

RV/Camping will probably replace the area where the grandstands used to be, and you still have that hill that people sit on. Still, the 3D render makes that track look so foreign to me. The S/F area with the safer barriers the way they are looks like a clusterfuck, lol.
