Decided to start this thread for the New Year, since I haven't seen one yet.

So, how do you think this season will go? How will your favorite driver perform? Discuss below!

I think Brad Keselowski will win the Daytona 500, since he'll bring the same dominant restrictor plate cars he had last year. I also don't believe SHR will struggle. They have almost the same group of people working on their cars, and they are also recieving plenty of support from Ford. I think their performance will remain unchanged.

J.J. will make the Chase. A Dillon will win a race. Kyle will win 3 or more, and Jamie McMurray will be shown the door. Sadly this will be Jr's last year and everyone in the sport will be shedding a tear

    Chase Elliott wins multiple races.
Erik Jones fails to win a race.
Martin Truex, Jr. wins 5+ races.
A Roush car makes the Chase via points (or a Bayne plate race win).
Harvick, Busch, and Bowyer all win at least one race.
Kasey Kahne goes winless again and loses his ride.
Landon Cassill does Landon Cassill things. 34, nice becomes a trend.
Final Four: Edwards, Harvick, Keselowski, Elliott.
    Carl Edwards wins the Championship.

Ryan Blaney wins his first race
Chase Elliott wins his first race
One of my bold predictions: Ricky Stenhouse steals a Bristol race
    Bowyer wins a race
    Allmendinger wins Glen
Junior wins the 500 (not that I want him to, just kinda seems like it's gonna happen)
Larson makes the Chase again and gets to the round of 8
    Logano finally wins the Championship
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Brennan Poole wins Talladega, makes the Chase
    Brendan Gaughan wins Kentucky II
Daniel Hemric nearly wins a race
Blake Koch narrowly misses a win or two, makes the Final Four
All of JRM make the Chase, only Byron and Sadler in the Final Four
Sadler wins Homestead and the Championship
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Multiple first time winners for KBM rookies
Sauter and Crafton battle for the Championship at Homestead

I had a dream Kahne announced retirement without much warning. But that isn't really a prediction haha

-I imagine Bayne has a great year and makes the Chase.
-Bowyer has a monster (pun kinda intended) year and makes the round of 8.
    - Harvick wins early but has a rough year overall and doesn't make the round of 8.
-Blaney wins 2 races including Atlanta and makes the round of 12.
-Logano and Keselowski battle it out at Homestead and Logano takes the title.
-Earnhardt Jr. has a great year and finishes 5th in points. He will race in 2018 but Byron takes over the #88 team in 2019.

Landon Cassill will secure his first NASCAR Cup Series win. 34, nice. Chip Ganassi Racing will get a win. Matt Dibenedetto won't have very good finishes since he's in the #32 car. Roush Fenway continues to improve. Ray Black Jr. will be involved in some kind of accident in every single Xfinity race he competes in. There will even more wrecks at Superspeedway races.

We will have the same front runners as the past couple years, JGR, HMS and Penske. The only big question mark IMO is SHR with their move to Ford. I think they will either clean house all year or "struggle" as in 1 or 2 wins for the whole team.

I can see Austin Dillon, Chase Elliott and Ryan Blaney getting their first wins. More so Elliott than the other two. Other than that nothing too out of the ordinary as far as winners.
